I have merely had sever problems with my computer, preventing me from joining you all here. Perhaps you might be able to help remedy this annoyance?
I have a Mac OS X, for one, and there are 3 separate accounts on it. I use Safari for my internet surfing, and the security is relatively normal.
The problem is, whenever I am on for more than an hour at a time, the whole thing freezes up completely. I can't do anything to get out except for shutting it down. When I turn the computer back on, however, it won't allow me to the sign in screen for the computer. It's stuck in Mac Purgatory, that evil little screen with the folder-smileyface and question mark before the apple logo and User List.
It only seems to happen to mine so quickly, though it does happen on the other accounts, though only if they are on (and not active) for 8+ hours at a time.
I have deleted my account and remade a new one, and it seemed find until I visited Gaia Online, where the problem started shortly thereafter. I'm not sure if thats coincidence or the cause, I don't think it affects other computers like this, though I cannot be sure. For this reason, I have not logged in onto Gaia for a while.
Any insight on this problem would be greatly beneficial, as this is not my computer and I will have to pay for it if it completely dies.
It has a virus scanner, yes, but it only does one account a day (retarded ><) and my mother is to stupid enough to know how to change it to my account, and it goes off as soon as she logs in, and I am never there to catch her...
Downloading ANYTHING is out of the question (says owner of the computer)
Buying a new computer is out of the question. (says my wallet)
Any physical harm to the owner OR the computer is out of the question (says the law)
So...I know its a long shot, but you people seem smart. Any tips?
